From the Author

"The bitch is physiological."

Ala Zwardoń is the creator of The Hangry Bitch.

After years of diets, detoxes, fasting protocols, wellness trends, and enough conflicting nutrition advice to fill a library, she discovered that despite doing everything she was "supposed" to do, she still struggled with digestive issues, hormonal dysfunction, energy crashes, and a relationship with food that felt increasingly complicated.

Eventually, working alongside functional health practitioner Jamie Trevathan, she discovered that many of the symptoms she had spent years fighting weren't character flaws, discipline problems, or signs that she needed a stricter diet. They were physiological signals from a body that needed better support.

That realization changed everything. As her digestion improved, her hormones stabilized, and the crashes became manageable, she began developing the practical systems, recipes, and strategies that would eventually become The Hangry Bitch.

The Hangry Bitch Cookbook is the resource she wishes she'd had years earlier: practical, science-informed, deeply personal, and written for anyone who has ever found themselves on the kitchen floor wondering how a skipped meal became a full-blown existential crisis.
